​Obtaining a license

The HDIP software cannot be used until you obtain a valid license file. If you wish to purchase a license or request a demo, please contact our sales representatives at PMI_LaserServiceSales@teledyne.com. A download link for the software, account number and license activation code will be sent via email.

Insta​​​lling the software.

  1. Unzip the .zip file send to you either using the build-in zip extractor in Windows or via a third-party software package such as WinRar or 7-zip. The unzipped folder will contain an executable called InstallMenu.exe. Double-click the executable, install the HDIP software and follow the instructions in the install wizard.
  2. Run HDIP by double-clicking the shortcut on your desktop.
  3.  The license manager will be shown. Click “Request License" to request a new license.

License a​​ctivation for systems connected to the internet

  1. Fill in your details in the license request screen (Figure 2), and click “Activate License Online". Verify that your computer is connected to the internet.

  1. Fill in the activation code when asked, and click “Ok" (Figure 3). If an invalid code was detected, verify the sales order number and try entering the activation code again.  The license activation code can only be used once. Each license is tied to a single workstation, and can't be transferred.

  1. If the license was activated, the status of the package should be valid. The licens​e file is stored in a secure location on your PC, hence, HDIP can be updated, uninstalled and reinstalled without affecting the license.  If you encounter any issues with this process, please contact PMI-HDIP-Support@Teledyne.com for assistance.

License activation for systems not connected to the internet

  1. Fill in your details in the license request screen (Figure 2), and save the offline request file on removable media.
  2. Transfer the removable storage medium to a computer connected to the internet and send the offline request file to PMI-HDIP-Support@Teledyne.com.
  3. You will receive an offline license file, which can be added by clicking “Activate Offline License" in the license manager. The license file has a .bin suffix.  Once added, the status of the package should be valid. The license file should be automatically loaded in the background when the software is started. The license file is stored in a secure location on your PC, hence, HDIP can be updated, uninstalled and reinstalled without affecting the license.  If you encounter any issues with this process, please contact PMI-HDIP-Support@Teledyne.com for assistance.
  4. Click continue to start the software.​
