The CETAC AridusII Desolvating Nebulizer System is a specialized sample introduction accessory for ICP-MS, providing up to 10x signal enhancement and reduction of solvent based mass spectral interferences.
Sensitivity Enhancement for ICP-MS: The AridusII can help typically enhance analyte element sensitivity by a factor of 4x to 10x (depending on sample uptake rate) vs. the standard pneumatic nebulizer.
Reduced Interferences: The AridusII features an inert, fluoropolymer desolvating membrane apparatus for efficient removal of water vapor; the %CeO/Ce is usually 0.05% or less.
Low-Flow PFA Nebulizers: Low-flow (50, 100 or 200 microliters/min) CFlow PFA nebulizers are available for introduction of corrosive, low-volume samples.
Heated PFA Spray Chamber with Drain: A heated PFA spray chamber improves sample aerosol transport efficiency. A built-in drain pump removes any excess sample liquid to waste.
Protection for PFA Nebulizer and Spray Chamber: Both the PFA nebulizer and PFA spray chamber are behind a secured door to alleviate electrostatic effects.
On-board Gas Flow Control: Gas flow controllers are included for both the argon sweep gas and nitrogen addition gas.
Dedicated Temperature Controllers: Dedicated, adjustable temperature controllers are included for both the PFA spray chamber and the membrane desolvator.
Modular Membrane Desolvator: The membrane desolvator assembly is a modular unit which can be easily removed for cleaning and/or replacement.
Easy Setup: All AridusII units are provided with a completion kit and an interface kit for quick and easy connection to the hostICP-MS. The kit includes a nebulizer gas line and a sample out line with the appropriate ICP torch adapter. In addition, a rinse kit is included for cleaning the membrane desolvator.
Optional Accessories: Optional accessories for the AridusII include the ASX-112FR MicroAutosampler for automated sample introduction and the QuickWash Rapid Washout Accessory for in place cleaning of the PFA spray chamber.
